MEET ERIC

Watch my 2023 TEDx talk.

My wife and I are 25+ year residents of Aspinwall Hill. We love walking the neighborhood streets, visiting the businesses of Washington Square, and meeting friends at our local restaurants.

I am a product of public schools and forever grateful to those teachers: grades 1-12 through my bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I also hold a master's degree in Leadership from Lesley University.

I teach leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and serve as Associate Director of the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative at Harvard. I also teach at MIT, UMass Medical Center, and other institutions as well as speak around the world.

I am the co-author of the books You're It: Crisis, Change, and How to Lead When it Matters Most and Renegotiating Healthcare: Resolving Conflict to Build Collaboration. I have written more than 200 bylined articles.

I serve on the Leadership Communications Council at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and as an advisor to the Mental Health Literacy Collaborative.

Animals are never far from my mind. My cockapoo Cooper usually accompanies me around the neighborhood (at right, at an MSPCA fundraiser at Fenway Park). I serve as a Community Advocacy Leader for the MSPCA and on the board of Massachusetts for Elephants. I am a birder, so you may find me wandering with binoculars.

And go, Red Sox!
